Untitled # 42 13"x32", encaustic on wood panel

This is a new piece part of the evolving "Untitled" series with carved lines. I am adding lots of texture and layers under the final lines, using all different kinds of mesh bags,(thanks Dani), and screen material. It creates distant, subtle patterns under the layers. I have many paintings in this group that I am about to photograph.

I will showing my paintings May 20,21 at the Sunset Celebration, Willow and Middlefield, Menlo Park. They expect lots of people to this spring party. I will be demostrating encaustics and showing my work. Hours are 10-5, put on by Sunset magazine. www.sunset.com
